Dr. James Peavler has worked for contractors for the Department of Energy
and the Department of Defense:
In the private sector he managed the publications department of ISSCO, a computer
graphics company, and was mediator of requirements development between the
marketing group and the software development group. And he worked for the prime
contractor of a software development project for the Kansas Bureau of Investigation
as a software development manager.

- Responsible for development and publication of computing documentation at
Argonne National Laboratory,where he was an internal ombudsman and
mediator of organizations;organizations; - Software Process Engineering Group contractor for the Defense Finance and
Accounting Service, responsible for development of Capability Maturity Model
(CMM) processes through Level 3 and implementation of CMM-Integrated
(CMMI) procedures. He participated as part of a formal assessment
team.
